As Oprah says, Failure is the stepping stone to greatness!

We have decided to cancel the rest of the summer 2024 Pomfret Read-Around events due to lack of participation but we still love the idea of a Silent Book Club – (and judging by how many signed up, so do you! We want to give it another go in the fall. Please give us your input and help make this fun program a success!

How frequently would you like to meet up with other readers?
Which day of the week/month, and what time?
Where should we meet? At the library, a restaurant, or some other public venue?
Please share any comments or suggestions you have.

You can respond by email or just have a chat with either Kim or Laurie next time you’re in the library. We’ll keep the email list of interested readers and let you know when we have plan in place for the fall!

This summer we’re combining two of our favorite things – being outside with friends and reading a good book!

We’re kicking off our NEW Silent Book Club with a six-week series of what we’re calling Pomfret Read-Arounds. Here’s how it works:

Sign up to get the emails with the surprise location for the week
Each Tuesday we’ll announce the time and place for that week.
You grab a chair and whatever you’re reading these days and meet up with other readers for an hour or so of reading and book-chatting!

So bring a book or grab one when you get there (we’ll have plenty) and read around Pomfret with us!
