Meet Kim Mather, Children’s Program Manager

Pomfret Public Library is pleased to introduce Kim Mather as our Children’s Program Manager!

Kim joins the Pomfret Library staff after serving as Children’s Librarian at Guilford Smith Memorial Library for the past four years.   She began her library career in 1992 at Aldrich Memorial Library in Moosup, followed by several years at Killingly Public Library.   “I prefer small community libraries.   Being able to recognize all your patrons and recall everyone’s name makes everyone feel welcome and eager to return to the library” commented Kim.

Beginning in early January, Kim will be presenting two weekly interactive story times for preK children and toddlers, incorporating finger/hand rhymes, music, a bubble machine and much more to engage their attention.   She is also particularly interested in providing both craft programs and STEM based events.   During our 2018 Summer Reading Program Kim will offer engaging activities for all ages following the theme “Libraries Rock”.  Be sure to follow the library’s calendar to stay connected to all Kim will be presenting for our youth and families.
